From Monday, January 13 to Wednesday, January 15, 2020, designers and fashion brands from the high-end segment will present their collections and designs for Autumn/Winter 2020 to press representatives, buyers and fashion insiders for the first time at Kraftwerk Berlin as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. Once again, our cooperation partner for sustainability, Danny Reinke, has successfully applied.

With 15 shows and exhibitions of over 30 participating exciting talents and established brands, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in January 2020 will once again offer a platform in a new location to a growing number of designers. Initiator Mercedes-Benz and organiser NOWADAYS are pleased to announce the official show schedule of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin for the Autumn/Winter 2020 season - as shown in the graphic below. After this, Danny Reinke's Runwayshow on Tuesday, 14 January 2019 at 13:30 (CET) will open the shows on this special day:

FASHION TALENTS

This season the show concept will be opened on the evening of January 13, 2020 with a group show by four fashion designers from South Africa presented by Mercedes-Benz, who will present their creations as part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talents program for the promotion of young talent. In the joint fashion show Clive Rundle, Floyd Avenue, Viviers Studio and Rich Mnisi will present the spectrum of contemporary South African fashion - which interprets culture, craftsmanship and tradition in a modern way.

Love Brands

Other participating labels on the 45-metre long RUNWAY on the upper floor of the power plant include established love brands such as Sportalm Kitzbühel, Riani and Kilian Kerner's label KXXK as well as upcoming designer labels such as Cashmere Victim, Danny Reinke, Irene Luft Couture, Lena Hoschek, Rebekka Ruétz and DSTM.

The internationally operating collective Last Heirs will show their new collection on Tuesday evening. In the run-up, the green fashion platform NEONYT will present their popular combined show with brands and designers who are committed to sustainable fashion.

A special highlight will be the closing of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin Autumn/Winter 2020, where Wolfgang Joop will present his new concept "Looks by Wolfgang Joop" in a world premiere exclusively to a professional audience.

NEW: STUDIO

The MBFW will also start directly in the new location with a second presentation platform, the newly designed STUDIO. The additional showcase enables designers to create even more individual and conceptual productions as an option to the RUNWAY.

The opening will already be impressively staged: it will take place on Tuesday evening with the show by designer duo ODE-EH. Designer Nobi Talai will then present her new collection to the invited guests on Wednesday.

Focus on fashion & design

In cooperation with creatives, partners and press representatives, the parties involved are continuing to work on their mission to represent Germany as a fashion location in an eye-catching way and to enliven its content.

The show schedule is supplemented by various fashion-focused exhibition concepts:

  • LOCAL HEROES: In cooperation with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Business / Projekt Zukunft is presenting a new concept for supporting talented and established fashion labels from Berlin. In addition to three sponsored fashion shows, 6 designers will have the opportunity during the MBFW to present their key looks to the trade and the general public within an installation.

  • MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION TALENTS: The most striking designs by the Mercedes-Benz sponsored designers Clive Rundle, Floyd Avenue, Viviers Studio and Rich Mnisi will be on display throughout the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin following the opening show and can also be experienced by end consumers.

  • A/C POP-UP GALLERY: Another special novelty within the new location is the Pop-up Gallery. Here, "A/C" stands for "Artists & Contributors", because in the future, different art and creative forms flanking fashion will be presented here. At the opening of the new space, multi-artist Armin Morbach will exhibit a curated selection of his work. The vernissage of the A/C Pop-up Gallery will take place on Tuesday, 14 January 2020 at 11.00 a.m. in the presence of the artist.

Fashion Insights – also interesting for end consumers
