The printing process that makes your packaging appear in an individual light is called In-Mould-Labelling or IML process for short. It is currently the most modern labelling technology for plastic packaging.

The sophisticated procedure has many advantages. The term "in-mould" is explained by the fact that the pre-printed labels are inserted into the injection mould, and the labelling process is therefore carried out during the production of the packaging. IML labels do not have a separate adhesive layer, but are bonded to the plastic melt by the temperature of the liquid plastic when it is injected into the injection mould. Thus, after the cooling process, your packaging is bonded to the label as an inseparable unit.

Resistant and hygienic

In-mould labels are both temperature and moisture resistant, making them an ideal solution for frozen and chilled items. They are also scratch and tear resistant.

In this process, the packaging and label are produced in a single step. This not only saves time, but also storage and transport costs, as there is no need to store unprinted cups and additional labels.

Orange-peel

This type of carrier film is not only characterized by its slightly coarse-pored surface structure.  The special properties of this fully covering film are also noteworthy. You will find films that are impermeable to light and oxygen, thus protecting your product from external influences. 

Transparent

Transparent carrier foils allow not only the application of your individual design, but also the visible presentation of your product. The content is easily surrounded by the transparent print and remains visible. 

With the help of a white background, it is also possible to apply your logos, the font or an EAN code in a covering manner.

Competent support is waiting for you. Our sales representatives will advise you in line with our slogan "Was will'sch aipagga". It is important to us to put your product in the foreground. Thus, the choice of the packaging variant as well as the type of printing on the product and presentation should be coordinated for the presentation. Besides the choice of the products themselves, you also have the choice of the acceptance procedure. Of course you can, like everything else with us, also accept complete pallets of your own printed article. In addition to this option, we also offer you an annual call-off. If you decide not to call off your individual packaging completely in one call off, we will store it for you. The manufactured lids are then stored for one year, so that you can now call them off as required within a short delivery time. In addition to this advantage, we can also offer you the favourable printing costs through the consolidated printing of your logo on the carrier film, which is sometimes only attached to the lid at a later date. The calculation of the goods is always carried out upon receipt of goods at WEBER.

Once the framework for the concept has been established, the next step is to create a printable version of your individual print. On the one hand, we offer you the opportunity to provide all relevant information so that your graphic designer can create a printable file for us. On the other hand, you can also draw on our many years of experience and work with our graphic designers. As you have already seen before, there are many printable areas on a cup or lid, as well as variations of the foil or the possibility of print design. 

Either way: Once the logo is ready, you can start printing the labels. These are printed in an extra step, and only in a second step the marriage of the label with the lid takes place. The production time is 8-12 weeks depending on the product. Depending on the purchase agreement, you will now receive the complete product or we will take care of the storage. Stored at WEBER, mostly partial call-offs are invoiced to you after receipt of the goods by us, and from this point on can be deducted by you in pre-defined or needs-based call-offs. Matching the printed articles, the corresponding cups or lids can always be delivered in the required quantity.
